DEC 2....'O4.

Today is a good day, Got a call from the Original 'Star Child' KOOL KYLE. I have been wondering where he is for years. see www.koolkyle.com/kk2.html It's Good to Know the old skool is alive and doing things....It's always been the question of the younger generation, "what happened to M.C. SoAndSo....?", "Yeh he was tight"....Well every once in a while you find out. in this case KOOL KYLE is doing thangs, hiphopmovie.comand still very connected to HipHop...deeper than you would think. These days everyone thinks Kool Kieth is the King of Kool's, (don't get me wrong, Kool Kieth is one of my most top choice emcees.) but there was Kool Before kieth. KOOL KYLE, Kool Moe Dee (my favorite oldskool M.C.), KOOL HERC, KOOL D.J. RED ALERT Even KOOL & The Gang and many more KOOL's. The thing that is really tight, is the world wide web for making it possibe for this type of thing to happen. Next up on my list of favorites to find is Chill Rob G. Like every culture that lasts, the wisdom and truth of ones history is found with the elders. When it comes to blues and rock, jazz, Salsa etc. the elders are always around and can be found. It is too bad that American Media overlooked the Funk and Hip Hop scenes of the 70's and 80's and for most cases completely ignored the truth of these two music movements. Now the history is hidden and distorted, and it is hard for the youth to know this history of the culture they so loudly embrace. Well for what it's worth, I'll do my part to find the ones that time and time again keep getting overlooked. Why did VH1 not include "Grand Master Caz" in the HipHop Honors ceremony when the truth is out there. By the way When is Grand Master Caz's Album Dropping?, Can I get a Promo? If you truly love HipHop, go out and purchase the new albums from the founders of this culture, get the new DVD's that keep coming out that tell there stories and get up on the old ones too, use your money to support the access and development of this history. You would be surprised at how much there is to learn from these pioneers, many are still pioneering HipHop today. Speaking of which, two albums to buy are RAMM-EL-ZEE's "Bi-Conicals of RAMM-El-ZEE" and AFRIKKA BAMBATTA's latest and greatest 2004 release.

NOV 22nd....'04

Well, It's been almost a month...lots of spliffs, 40 new songs. 3 new albums and a Big Show going down on NEW YEARS EVE at the Shattuck Down Low in Berkeley...A very classy bar in my opinion...lots of bad politicks too. Lately I have been hiding out in the studio and doing regular research into the areas of magnification. email me for more info on that. to recap the month so far, I'd like to give it up to Billy Jam over at KALX and K.J. over at free Radio Berkeley...Also Collin (host of thursday night hiphop at ruby room in oakland) gets a shout for throwing a great house party where we performed...The New albums are tight, we may not release them for a while, so if you want an advanced copy, email me....

I hope to see you on New Years Eve 2004, and early New Years Day 2005...

Oct.31st.....'04

Holloween was a blast, The IDN crew performed at Otherworld with drummer kieth, and percussionist Rolla, It was all uphill from there, we hit another party in West Oakland and then an after hours spot in El Cerito, Ah Yeh Ah Yeh......the highlights of the show were many, but go deejay go and two damn fly were some of the standouts to me. unfortunately, this one is not on film.

Yeh Yall, I'm BAAC in the Bay and I am chillin, I'm extra broke, but that's good for the art. Just made a new album last week, It's called "Don't tell Nondo". Nondo Lopez of AOM produced 7 of the 9 Cuts, and he did not know that we made a whole album out of his beats. That's where the title came from.

Friday night the 29th we at 29th and potrero in frisco for a house party show, Three albums to get besides our music, Afrikka Bambatta's new album on Tommy Boy Records, Saul Williams New Joint and Ram-El-Zee's new Album Don't sleep on these, the future-hop is here....

As Far as Holloween goes, we got a show at Otherworld in Oakland on the corner of west Grand & 2000 Market St. the show is actually on Saturday the 30th instead of Holloween 11:30p.m., Cause we cannot support the evil on the Good Lords Day...I'm actually kidding on that last part, Ancestors are allways worthy of recognition, we celebrate everything on everyday.......email me for any info...I'm Out.

On the 4th of November we got an instore Apearance at Future Primitive Sound HeadQuarters on the lower Haight in Frisco with an After Party Show@MILK, and on it goes Don't eat the bad candy, Party Safe and don't stop the Body Rock!

What up Yall, I'm baac in the NYC at the CMJ doin my east bay thug theezy...

The industry, a love hate relationship....Although I love when cats stay underground and all that. Some of my favorite albums from my favorite groups are continually released on Major Labels....So Don't be surprised if I sell the Fuck out....infact if I do not "Sell-out" then you may never hear my next album. Although the web site is up, and 1/2 the collection of music is on the site, I can no longer afford to put my records and ceedees out my self.

I have put out 5 12" records and 10 c.d. albums, and the shit is hard to do...

plus nondo keeps takin c.d.s and not reupping....(I still love you nondo)

Basically, we need money from a major investor to take our music into the world of the vision we have for our music. if it means we gotta change a little, we might,.................NOT!!! But probably we won't have to change to much. Thanks to the thousands of fans who have supported us to this point....

untill next time, Stay positive and keep your head up.....Inspector 2-
